A shawl that works well for all seasons depending on the colors you choose. The unique heart shape causes the tips to be exaggerated and form "wings", allowing you to easily tie the shawl in the front. The perfect accessory!

The Plucky Knitter’s Sophisticate  50% merino, 30% mohair, 20% silk) 510 yards

Main Color: 1 skein Lake Placid Contrast Color: 1 skein Wingtips  Please note: you will use almost every inch of each color.  Depending on your knitting, you may need to purchase a second skein of the main color. 

Supplies Needed

  • Tape measure
  • Stitch Markers
  • Tapestry Needle
  • Needles - # 7 40” Circular needle  If you have a smaller needle, such as a 24 “ circular needle start with that. However, you will need to move up to a 40” by the end of the shawl to accommodate all of the stitches.  Please remember that after knitting up your swatch, your needle size may change.

Gauge- 5 stitches = 1” or 20 sts. = a 4 in square in Stockinette Stitch using a #7 needle 


Wing Span(from tip to tip across) = 70 Inches

Length (from back of neck to back point)=   30 inches
